2026-2027 Family Handbook

Welcome to Abba Academy Microschool! We are honored that you are considering our Christ-centered learning community. Abba Academy partners with families to provide a nurturing, faith-based, and academically sound educational experience that supports the whole child, spiritually, academically, socially, and emotionally.

This enrollment packet contains all required information and forms needed to apply for admission. Please review each section carefully and return all completed forms by June 1, 2026.

Program Overview


  • Academic Year: 2026–2027
  • Grades Served: K–8
  • Instructional Model: Microschool / Small-group, mastery-based instruction
  • Curriculum: Alpha Omega Publishers (LIFEPAC)
  • Accreditation Alignment: National Association of Private Schools (NAPS)

Admission & Enrollment Policy


Abba Academy Microschool operates as a private Christian microschool and aligns with the National Association of Private Schools (NAPS) accreditation standards.


Abba Academy admits students of any race, color, national, or ethnic origin to all rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school.


Enrollment is based on:

  • Submission of a complete enrollment packet
  • Academic readiness and grade placement review
  • Space availability
  • Family agreement with Abba Academy’s mission, statement of faith, and policies


The school reserves the right to deny or discontinue enrollment if policies are not upheld.


Tuition & Fees


Academic Year: 2026–2027

Application Fee: $50 (non-refundable)
Tuition: $6,000 (annually)
Payment Schedule: Direct Pay Arrangement or EFA-ClassWallet (must register with Education Freedom Account)


Tuition covers instructional services, curriculum access, learning materials, and enrichment activities.


Payments are due according to the agreed schedule. Late payments may result in fees, suspension of services, or dismissal in accordance with school policy.


Attendance Policy


Consistent attendance is required to maintain academic progress and compliance with private school standards.

  • Parents must notify the school of absences.
  • Students are expected to meet instructional participation requirements.
  • Excessive absences may result in academic review, probation, or withdrawal.


Assessment, Grading, and Academic Reporting


Abba Academy Microschool utilizes a mastery-based assessment model aligned with curriculum standards and private school best practices.


Assessment Methods Include:

  • Curriculum-embedded assessments 
  • Teacher observation and performance reviews
  • Work samples and progress tracking

Grading & Progress Monitoring:

  • Student progress is monitored continuously.
  • Grades and mastery levels are recorded and maintained in student academic files.
  • Academic records are retained in accordance with NAPS requirements.

Reporting to Parents:

  • Parents receive regular academic progress reports.
  • Parent-teacher conferences may be scheduled as needed.
  • Families are notified promptly of academic concerns or intervention needs.


Grade Placement and Promotion


Grade placement and promotion decisions are based on demonstrated mastery of academic standards rather than age alone.

Promotion considerations include:

  • Completion of required coursework
  • Demonstrated mastery
  • Teacher evaluation and academic readiness
  • Attendance and participation


The school reserves the right to recommend retention, targeted intervention, or alternative placement when mastery benchmarks are not met. Final promotion decisions rest with school administration.


Health & Safety

  • Students must have up-to-date immunization records or an approved exemption on file.
  • Parents must notify the school of any medical conditions, allergies, or special health needs.
  • Emergency contact information must be current at all times.


Discipline & Conduct


Abba Academy Microschool follows a Biblically grounded, restorative approach to discipline consistent with private school best practices.

Students are expected to:

  • Demonstrate respect for staff, peers, and property
  • Follow classroom and school guidelines
  • Exhibit Christ-like character

Corrective actions may include redirection, parent conferences, behavior plans, suspension, or dismissal, depending on severity.


Technology & Learning Platforms


Abba Academy integrates educational technology to support individualized learning.


Primary instructional platform:

  • Alpha Omega Publishers (LIFEPAC)


Additional tools may include:

  • Khan Academy Kids
  • Literacy and math support platforms
  • Teacher-guided digital resources

Technology use is supervised, documented, and restricted to instructional purposes in alignment with NAPS standards.


Parent Partnership


Parents are vital partners in their child’s education. Families are expected to:

  • Support learning at home
  • Communicate regularly with staff
  • Uphold school policies and values


NAPS Compliance & Records Management


Abba Academy Microschool maintains policies and procedures aligned with the National Association of Private Schools (NAPS) accreditation standards.


Compliance Practices Include:

  • Maintaining student academic, attendance, and health records
  • Retaining enrollment agreements and signed acknowledgments
  • Documenting instructional days and participation
  • Ensuring curriculum alignment and instructional supervision


Student records are confidential and securely maintained. Records are available for authorized review in accordance with accreditation requirements.


Grievance & Due Process Policy


Abba Academy Microschool is committed to fair, respectful, and Biblically guided resolution of concerns in alignment with NAPS standards.


Step 1: Informal Resolution
Parents or guardians are encouraged to first address concerns directly with the classroom teacher or school staff member involved.

Step 2: Formal Written Grievance
If the concern is not resolved, a written grievance may be submitted to school administration. The grievance should include a clear description of the issue and desired resolution.

Step 3: Administrative Review
School administration will review the grievance, meet with involved parties if necessary, and provide a written response within a reasonable timeframe.

Step 4: Final Determination
Administrative decisions are final. Abba Academy reserves the right to take actions consistent with its policies, mission, and best interests of the school community.


All grievance records are documented and maintained.


Graduation & Program Completion


Abba Academy Microschool recognizes student completion and promotion based on mastery of academic requirements rather than seat time alone.


Program Completion Criteria:

  • Successful completion of required coursework
  • Demonstrated academic mastery appropriate to grade level
  • Satisfactory attendance and participation
  • Fulfillment of behavioral and conduct expectations


Upon completion of the highest grade level offered by Abba Academy Microschool, students may be awarded a Certificate of Completion or other formal recognition as determined by school administration. Graduation or completion documentation is maintained in student records.
